This is a collection of over 300 little word puzzles based on one simple linguistic mechanic. It is meant to be a supplement to a larger and more varied collection I previously published, called “A Big Book Of Little Word Puzzles”. If you haven’t come across that yet I suggest looking at it. It contains, in addition to 75 more “Single Letter Switch” puzzles, ten addition types of puzzles for a total of over 550 word puzzles. They are detailed in the book’s description so you can gauge your interest before purchasing. You can also find it on the store under my name, in addition to multiple other puzzle / riddle books I have published.
This additional collection - an “expansion pack” - was put together for people who enjoyed these puzzles from the previous book, and for anyone else!
These puzzles are called “Single Letter Switches” because the solutions to each puzzle are two-word answers where each word is different by only one switched letter. Here are two examples

As someone who has spent a lifetime fascinated with the words of the English language (as well as their etymologies), I was delighted to receive as a gift from Zack Guido "Little Word Puzzles" in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
This is a companion volume to Guido's longer book, "A Big Book of LIttle Word Puzzles." In the latter volume, Guido presents some eleven different types of word puzzles. The "Little Word Puzzles" book is a compilation of more than 300 puzzles of one of the eleven types found in the longer book––namely, the "Single Letter Switch" puzzle. In puzzles of this sort, a clue is given, and the solution is a two-word answer in which each word is different by only one switched letter.
For example, if the clue is, "A joy-filled flower child," the answer is, "Happy Hippy."
Some of the answers are pretty easy to get. Others represent quite a challenge. With more than 300 entries, this book will provide hours of fun for an individual or a group of people. Like its longer companion volume, it would be a great way for a family to while away the hours while on a long-distance automobile trip.

Zack Guido's "Little Word Puzzles Book" was certainly a little more challenging that I had originally thought it would be. I have a large vocabulary and love word puzzles and riddles, but I think I have a mental block when it comes to Single Letter Switches because I went through page after page of these riddles trying to see how many I could answer without even thinking. I found only a small handfull and there are more than 300 riddles. Typical puzzles are "What Someone Who Scratches Rulers Does" or "An MSRP on A Tag On A Shirt" - neither of which I could guess without thinking about it for a little while. This is why I liked the book. So often today people are looking for instant gratification and when it doesn't come, people tune out or go onto something else. Just look at the game Candy Crush (feel free to judge me). When you link your Facebook account to the game, it shows you how all your friends have done in each game AND where each person stopped playing. There are 100's of levels in this game, but people I know have all generally stopped playing in the 20's and 30's - why? Because the game suddenly gets MUCH HARDER and I think people decide that they are tired of being challenged.
Overall, I really liked the book and felt that it was more than worth $0.99 - especially once you see what similar paperback books cost on . For those who enjoy this type of riddle wordplay, I would suggest you checkout some of Mr. Guido's other books such as A Big Book Of Little Word Puzzles 550+ Word Puzzles,What Am I? - A Collection Of Traditional Word Riddles (Vol 1), or How To Get Better At Boggle - A Strategy Guide.
